A couple weeks ago we tried out a new initiative called DoneGood Together, which allows people to get a great deal and make a great impact by making a bulk purchase together. The first DoneGood Together was so popular, we wanted to do it again!

Luckily our friend Jen Lewis, the founder of Purse & Clutch, was down to offer up a really sweet deal on one of her most popular items! And purchases fuel living wages for single moms in Guatemala—so they can work from home and take care of their children, cover school fees, and live self-sufficient lives.

Here’s How it Works:

  • If at least 18 clutches are sold, everyone who ordered gets 40% off plus free shipping in the U.S.
  • If we don’t reach our 18-clutch goal, the order is not placed and you will not be charged.
  • We have until Thursday at noon Eastern Time to hit our goal, so it helps to spread the word and invite others to join in!

Why is the goal 18? That’s how many clutches it takes to create 150 hours of good paying work for the six women artisans — all single mothers — handmaking these clutches in rural Guatemala. Earning a good wage means these women can cover basic needs such as food, clothes, rent and more for themselves and their children. Jen believes in providing good pay—especially for such high-quality work! Every clutch is hand-spun and hand-lined with care, and colored using all-natural local extracts like chamomile flowers, zabote fruit, and sealed with a banana leaf mixture so the dye doesn’t run.

Your purchase also helps Jen and the Purse & Clutch team continue to prove a business can succeed AND do good at the same time. We have a special place in our heart for Jen because she’s so vocal about calling for change in the fashion industry. She helped lead a Fashion Revolution event in her hometown of Austin, Texas this past spring, and has built up her business over the past five years without ever compromising quality for speed or people for profit.

Check out Jen and her team’s work and join us in making a difference… together!
